The room still smelled of the previous guests' meals, and the beds were awful and really uncomfortable. There was no air conditioning or cross ventilation. The garden lights outside kept us awake, so leaving the door open for fresh air wasn't an option. We won't be back.

The cottage itself is lovely, but we chose it because the listing said it had wifi, and it doesn't reach the rooms. Two housekeeping staff came to try to sort it out, but couldn't. That spoiled what had been a great holiday. On top of that, 35 staff weren't paid for the long weekend. I'm just looking forward to getting home, not. The owner never contacted us and seems not to care. I'll do my best to let people know not to stay.

The free laundry was a godsend, though the kitchen was a bit short on things and the kids slept on a pull-out sofa bed. It's near a supermarket, but we had to drive to the beach, unless there's a shortcut we missed. My husband thought it looked bigger in the pictures, and there's no wifi anymore 😢

We paid 280 for one night, even though we booked months ahead, for a run-down cottage with only two rooms: an open main space with two single beds and a queen for four people, plus a bathroom. The room was cramped and unbearably hot, with no fans, air conditioning, or ventilation. It was 15 degrees outside, but felt like 30 inside, and we couldn't sleep. The tiny TV was pathetic, and at 7am the sun on the roof made an awful racket. Calling this a 4 star hotel is a joke. I've stayed in plenty of good hotels, but this place was abysmal, more like 1-2 stars in Sydney. Whoever designed it needs to rethink the layout. Three beds in one room just doesn't work.

Really friendly service and a lovely atmosphere. They go out of their way to help with even the small details, and it's great value for money.
