After seeing the property, I wanted to cancel my booking, but was told quite rudely that I couldn’t. It’s presented as something it isn’t. This isn’t a motel, it’s a house with rooms and shared facilities. The decor is hideous, and there’s a reason it’s cheap. I don’t understand how the review score is so high.

It’s essentially a large house where the bedroom doors lock. Different from a regular hotel, but I really liked it. The location is quiet, the beds were comfortable, and our ensuite bathroom was a good size. Great value, and I’d definitely stay again.

The grounds were messy and unkempt, with weeds through the walkways, overgrown grass and an untidy garden. The rooms themselves were clean and tidy. We were staying for a sports carnival with three families from the same team. After one of the days, we invited our friends back for dinner, had pizza and watched a movie in the common room. The owner and receptionist told us very rudely that our guests couldn’t be there, saying it was a public liability issue, even after we explained they weren’t staying at the property.

The house has a full kitchen, sitting room and plenty of space for a large group, and it’s well appointed. Rooms are spotlessly clean and very comfortable. A great place to stay. I’d definitely come back. Thanks, Meg.
