Australia Park Motel

The front desk guy was a legend, really nice and great to deal with. I want to be fair about the rest of the stay, though. The bathroom had dead flies and spiders, the shower wasn't very clean and had other people's hair in it, and it was a bath-shower combo so there wasn't really an option to just shower. The bathroom bin hadn't been emptied. The towels looked stained or dirty, I couldn't tell which. The bed seemed clean, but was uncomfortable. Water dripped from the bathroom tap and ran through the toilet all night. There were some useful things in the room, including air conditioning, a fridge, microwave, couches and chairs, though the furniture looked a bit dirty too. The motel also has permanent residents, which might make some guests uncomfortable. I don't mean this review out of hate or anger, just being honest. I've included photos so people can decide if I'm exaggerating. I don't think the place is beyond saving, but there's plenty of room to improve.

The beds were comfortable, and the staff were welcoming and quick to sort out any problems professionally. I had a great stay at Australian Park Motel in Albury. It's a nice spot for a short visit, and I'd happily recommend it and come back.

I've stayed here quite a few times, but the cleanliness has really gone downhill. The toilet was filthy and the furniture was very dirty as well. It needs a major upgrade. I'll look for somewhere else next time.

We left a day early because the room was so unclean, and there were bugs all over the beds. We also found things left behind by a previous guest, which made it seem like the cleaners only did the bare minimum. Even when we asked, the room and towels weren't cleaned. At 9:30pm, a cleaner opened our door while we were in bed, then said sorry, thought the room was empty, and walked off. The room was dated, with a fridge seal that wouldn't close properly, a broken kettle switch, and wall lamps that either didn't work or were broken. Someone had stuck a makeshift light to the wall. Wi-Fi was basically nonexistent, and for a five-day stay there was no cooking area apart from a microwave. The pool was a disgusting green, and we hadn't been told it was closed. A couple of big tubs full of bottles and rubbish near the rooms stank in the heat. Don't waste your time on this so-called hotel. I'd never return.
