I was able to make full meals in the well-stocked kitchenette, and the extra sitting area was roomy and comfortable. The staff were always smiling and incredibly helpful, with requests taken care of quickly. The rooms and shared areas were sparkling clean, and the location made it easy to get to everything, from shops and restaurants to the post office, banks, groceries and public transport. I’ve been here for an extended stay and will be sad to leave.

Great location, and the room was spacious for the price. But there was a really old, musty smell throughout the floor and in our room. We’d paid for a 12pm late checkout, then got woken at 10:30am by a call asking why we hadn’t checked out. Staff need to communicate better.

Chapel Street’s shops and restaurants are right nearby, and South Yarra station is an easy 8-minute walk away. From there it’s only two stops into the middle of Melbourne. The hotel was nice and clean, and the staff were pleasant. Excellent.

Right on Chapel St and close to the river, the location is first class. The recent refurbishment has made the property look great, and the rooms are a good size and feel good too. Friendly staff as well. I’d highly recommend Quest on Chapel.

If you’re a light sleeper, I’d ask for a room at the rear. Chapel Street can get noisy, especially on weekends. The service was quite good, though the fittings and furniture were a bit old and worn, but still functional.
