There’s an easy ten-minute walk into town and down to the river walking path. Most guests seemed to be business travellers, and people heading out early did their best to keep the noise down, though you could still hear them. Inside, the rooms are large, very clean and remarkably quiet, with solid construction. I had a long bench that worked well for getting things done, plus a separate table and chairs. It looked like each room had both a double and a single bed. The basin is outside the bathroom, handy when one person needs to wash or brush their teeth while someone else showers. Best motel I’ve stayed in, with everything I could want.

The room was pleasant and very clean, the staff were good, and the bed was okay. The bathroom was small, though. On a 40-degree day we got into the room at 3pm, and the aircon hadn’t been switched on. It was 35 degrees inside. After three hours it had only cooled to 28, and the aircon wasn’t very effective. There was a fan under the bench, so we used that.

Management were very obliging, and our room was neat, tidy and clean. We spent two nights at the Jacaranda country Motel, on a lovely tree-lined street close to the centre of town. The bed was very comfortable. Heather and Tony, we’d recommend the motel to travellers looking for somewhere to stay in St George.

The undercover parking right outside the room deserves five stars. The place was lovely and quiet, and the clean, comfortable bed made for a good night's sleep.

It’s a popular motel, and it was full when we stayed on 8/8/25. The room was clean and comfortable, with hot showers and everything needed for an overnight stop. I liked the little touches, especially the wine and water glasses cooling in the fridge. A great place to stay!
