After cycling between the local pubs all day, we just needed somewhere to rest, and the room was perfect for that. Our host was really accommodating, and since nobody had booked our room before us, we could check in early. Everything was as advertised. If you're coming as a group, book the lodge rooms together: they open into a great shared space. We'd love to come back with the kids and stay in a chalet.

The spa was fantastic, but I wouldn't pay $260 for it again. Trip advisor had bookings for $170, and at $260 I felt ripped off. We had arranged a 1pm check-in and it was accepted, but nobody was in the office when we arrived, so we waited around 30 minutes in the heat. The TV didn't work properly, though we had our music. There were no curtains over the kitchen or bathroom windows, and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. Disappointed, to say the least.

Even with no notice, the service was great and the place was lovely. I'll definitely stay here next time I'm in the area.

The chalets were clean and tidy, and the area is lovely, but we wouldn't return. We were there for a wedding and got back around ten at night to find our chalet had no power, apart from the lights. The solar battery had apparently been used up by the previous tenant. It was very cold until the power came back at midnight, and I couldn't sleep because I'm pregnant. The owner apologized, but we weren't offered any refund. It was upsetting to pay for power that a previous customer had used.

John was so friendly and welcoming, and the free minibus to and from the Mundaring Hotel for Friday dinner was a great service. The chalets are lovely and very clean, with all the facilities of a house and a big bathroom with a hot, powerful spa. It's such a peaceful spot in the hills, and a wonderful getaway close to Perth. We'll be back, thanks.
