The pool was green, the food was extremely oily and barely seasoned, and the rooms had plenty of problems too. I was here for a school camp sometime in November, and it was a letdown. The mini fridge leaked all over the food I’d put inside. There were lipstick marks on two of my friends’ pillows, one bed was broken, and another had a yellow-stained comforter. The lights were broken, and there were dead cockroaches under my bed. You’re right by a highway with roadkill around, and it was one hell of a night. I wouldn’t come here again.

Check-in was easy and the staff member was friendly, though he was the only one we saw. The rooms were confusing to find, and on the way to ours we spotted a pillow and shirt lying on the ground by a water pipe. We booked this as a quick stop on our drive to Sydney. Being out of Canberra made for an easy exit in the morning, and we certainly left early. The room hadn’t been cleaned properly, there was a fly in the bathroom, and I didn’t want to touch much, so I skipped the shower. The bunk bed frame was broken, though my son could still sleep on it. The restaurant was closed, so we got takeaway from Dickson and ate in our room. We also passed on the green-looking pool, and the playground didn’t seem safe. As we drove away after checkout, there was a signpost on the road. It’s cheap, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Ritesh at the front desk was helpful and professional, especially since we arrived after closing time. The room, though, was noticeably dirty, with very old, worn fixtures that could use maintenance and improvement. It was still good value for money.

The area is nice if you’re after real jungle instead of a concrete jungle, though it may not suit you if you don’t have your own vehicle. I stayed just one night. The room price was satisfactory, but cleanliness disappointed me a bit. It looked like they’d missed vacuuming and cleaning the floor. For what I paid, it was an okay stay.
