Airport Hotel Sydney

It works fine as an airport stopover. I stayed because I had a 6am flight, and it’s only about a 12-minute drive from the airport. My studio was clean and nice, and had what I needed. I paid $10 plus 12,000 Frequent Flyer points, and wouldn’t pay more than $60 a night for this room. I gave it three stars because the other rooms seem to go for around $180 a night, which isn’t way overpriced. It is noisy, though, right beside a main road with very thin walls. I slept through it, but anyone sensitive to noise probably won’t like this hotel.

We paid around $300 for one night expecting a clean, comfortable room, and were extremely disappointed. There was a strong unpleasant smell as soon as we entered. The ceiling was in terrible shape, with visible holes, exposed sections, pipes, and rough concrete. It looked unfinished and poorly maintained, more like a construction site than a hotel room. We raised the problems and asked for a refund, but the hotel refused, which made things even more frustrating. We left after seeing the condition of the room. It felt dirty and wasn’t worth anywhere near $300. Save your money and stay somewhere else. 👎

The hotel was very clean and sheltered from outside traffic noise. It’s close to Arncliffe Station, and for my early morning flight I booked a taxi for $36. Some guests didn’t respect quiet hours and talked loudly in the hall after 10pm. I had to ask a group to quiet down after 11pm. There should be a notice asking people to respect guests who are trying to sleep.

Check-in was easy, and the staff were friendly. I stayed in room 103. It was clean and well serviced, though the layout made it feel a bit cramped. We didn’t notice traffic noise, perhaps because of where the room was, but the walls are a little thin. There’s a bus stop very close by, and it’s one stop from the international departure terminal. The buses can be quite full, though, which makes handling luggage tricky. I was a little nervous after reading some reviews, but I’d seriously consider staying here again before a morning flight.
