Alexandra Hotel

We stopped in at this lovely little hidden gem, and dogs are welcome in the front bar. The chicken parmigiana was probably the best I’ve ever had. It wasn’t oily or overcooked, and there wasn’t a heavy coating of crumbs. It was tender enough to cut with a fork. Fresh, crisp salad and beautiful chips too. What an amazing place to stop!

We’re in town for the weekend and had a lovely dinner at The Alexandra Hotel. My husband ordered the “diavola” pizza, made by pizza chef “Reuben” in a traditional wood fire oven. He’s an amazing pizza chef. My husband has been all over Italy and said it was the best pizza he’s ever had. Lovely food and service. Thanks, Reuben and the Alexandra Hotel!

Jake made the best spicy margaritas we’ve ever had, and he was so friendly. He made our time at the hotel great. Thanks heaps, Jake. We’ll definitely be back for your service.

We’re locals and like coming to the pub for a drink and the atmosphere. The other menu options are OK, but the pizzas are atrocious, not even fit for chook food. Despite lots of bad reviews, nothing seems to change with the pizza offering. Order one for Instagram if you want to regale your friends with your stupidity after reading this. You could also use it as a frisbee in the nearby park, but a real Frisbee costs less than $24 and would probably be more enjoyable. You might even get more nutrition from eating a plastic Frisbee, with the added benefit of less salt!
