The room was small and very old, with only the basics, though the location was good for the price. It had clearly just been cleaned, with a strong bleach smell, but there was a bug on the bed when we first walked in. Basic accommodation at a competitive price in central Sydney.

I don’t usually write reviews, but Central perk lodge deserves one. The paint is tacky and I wasn’t sure what to expect at first. It’s no Hilton, but for the price it’s hard to beat. The room was incredibly clean, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom immaculate. Staff went above and beyond to make sure I had a good stay. The air conditioning was icy cold, which I really needed on those hot Sydney days. If you’re on a budget, I can’t recommend it enough. Thanks to everyone at Central perk lodge for a magnificent stay. I’ll be back often!

The place was clean and the Wi-Fi worked alright, but it had a dingy, shady sort of vibe. The dorms are really cramped, with hardly any room to move. There’s a shower inside the dorm behind just a curtain, which is pretty uncomfortable when you’re sharing with strangers. Fine for a one-night or very short budget stay, but I’ve seen better backpacker hostels for only a little more.

The bed was very comfortable and the price was good for what we got. Our room had air conditioning, a shower, sink, and TV, but don’t expect much. We spotted a few cockroaches and lots of mosquitoes. The location is good, though the staff weren’t very friendly and the kitchen is tiny.

The showers were good and the staff were really nice, though the layout was a bit odd. The main problem is the location, like most places along this street. On Friday and Saturday nights, noise will keep you awake until 5am. Then, for some reason, a family came to visit their son at 4am while we were sleeping.
