Central Private Hotel

The location is the one good thing here, and it doesn’t make up for the rest. Central Private Hotel is outdated, inconvenient, and terrible value for money. I’d strongly advise booking somewhere else. For what we paid, the stay didn’t meet even basic expectations, and the beds were so soft they gave no support and made for an uncomfortable night. There’s no elevator, so we had to carry our bags upstairs. The hotel uses old-fashioned physical keys and gave us only one. If you leave without it, you’re locked out, and staff aren’t on duty full time to help. When we arrived at 1:30pm, a notice on the front door told us to call a local number to check in. We couldn’t call it, so we waited outside for about 15 minutes until someone happened to return to the front counter. Bathroom basics weren’t provided, not even shampoo. You could get shampoo only by asking at the front counter, and there was no conditioner at all. There’s also a $1,700 fine if shower steam sets off the fire alarm because the bathroom door was left open, plus a late checkout charge of $40 per hour after 10am. The surroundings felt rundown. There were signs warning would-be robbers that no cash is kept on the premises, and homeless people were right outside the entrance.
