Manor Boutique Hotel

The place itself is quite lovely, and the people were nice enough, but it wasn’t kept clean. Dust had built up badly in spots, the mould smell was overwhelming, and there was black mould growing on the curtains. I’m sensitive to mould, and it left me congested and with a rash. Someone’s underwear had been left behind the bedside table, too. There was also a lot of noise from movement around the hotel. Sadly, I wouldn’t stay again.

An old historical building with plenty of old-world charm, close enough to Darlinghurst that it’s just a stones throw away. The staff were friendly, and the bed was very comfortable. For the room price, it was really good value. The water pressure could have been stronger, but it was fine. I’d stay again.

My room had a huge king size bed, a roll top desk, and matching old furnishings that really took me back to the 1800s. There was a slight musty smell from the beautiful furniture, as you’d expect, but it went away after opening the windows. I was lucky to have double doors to the balcony as well. Downstairs there’s a dining/function room, a baby grand piano you’re allowed to play, and overstuffed leather chairs that made me picture 'Sherlock Holmes' sitting there. The manor is gorgeous, the staff were friendly, and I thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Shopping of all sorts is very close, and there’s a beautiful Italian restaurant a three-minute walk away that I thoroughly recommend. I loved it and would happily return. I truly recommend 'The Manor' to everyone.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was beautiful, with lovely high ceilings, and it was clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurants are just a short walk away, and the atmosphere was great. The continental breakfast was great too. Highly recommend!
