We slept so well here. The beds are really comfortable and it’s wonderfully quiet. The accommodation was reasonably priced, service was excellent, and the location makes a handy base for getting around North Sydney. There are several public transport options just a few metres away, with a few stops to the Rocks, Opera House and Darling Harbour. It’s an easy 20-minute stroll downhill to the harbour to see the Harbour Bridge and Luna Park. Greenwood shopping plaza is around the corner for shops, groceries and places to eat, and there are plenty of nearby cafes and restaurants too. Breakfast is included and the simple buffet was lovely. Coffee lovers might want to head to a local cafe instead. If you’re visiting the US consulate, it’s about a five-minute walk around the corner. Highly recommend.

The view in these photos is from my room. I live close by in North Sydney and keep choosing this place because it’s spotless, peaceful and calming. The rates are steady and often lower than booking sites, so I book direct through their website.

Anderledy Lodge has modern, spotless, comfortable rooms with all the expected amenities, and the breakfast provisions in the dining room each day were excellent, with lots of choice. The grounds and buildings are immaculate, and the peaceful gardens feel like an oasis in busy commercial North Sydney. Information boards around the complex respectfully explain the history of Mary Mackillop and the sisters. It’s an ideal base for visiting Sydney and the surrounding area. North Sydney train station is a four-minute walk away, and Milsons Point Wharf is an easy walk downhill. Greenwood Mall has eateries and a supermarket, though it’s closed on Sundays. Highly recommended.
