The bathroom was the only area that seemed clean and well maintained. We appreciated that, but it didn't make up for problems elsewhere during our stay at Montblu Echo Point. The online description and photos had set different expectations, and the property fell short of basic cleanliness and maintenance standards. We have photos of the concerns, including the kitchen, oven, floor, bedroom, and the confusion over noise. The kitchen looked neglected. There was visible grime and baked-on residue in the oven, so we didn't feel comfortable preparing food there, and the damaged floor had spots that could be a safety risk if not avoided carefully. The master bedroom also seemed poorly cleaned, with dead flies on the windows and a lot of dust under the beds. Noise came from a neighbouring Airbnb. For the first couple of hours, people knocked on our door, mistaking it for the place where their event was happening. We hadn't been told there would be a gathering nearby, and the noise went on until around 10pm, which was tiring. Montblu Echo Point has potential, but the lack of care with cleaning, maintenance, and communication affected our stay. Accommodation should provide a comfortable, hygienic environment, and this wasn't fully achieved on our visit. I hope the feedback is taken constructively and leads to improvements for future guests.

The photos make the place look great, but we didn't even get the location on the map that we booked. When we arrived, there were bugs and ants everywhere, and dishes had been left in the sink by the previous guest. The air con was locked, so on hot days like the ones we had, we couldn't cool the place down. Curtains didn't cover the windows either, and the outside lights shone into the room all night, making it feel like daytime. Give it a skip. Don't make our mistake.

The villa was a good size and clean, with a great location, parking, excellent air conditioning, and both a washing machine and dryer. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. A few things needed attention: the dish sponge was old, which isn't good hygiene, and there shouldn't have been a used one rather than a new sponge or none at all. The bathroom tap moved instead of being fixed in place. Some parts of the villa also shook when you moved.

We stayed in unit 4 and could see the lookout from the dining room. The off-street parking was good, and the central heating worked great. It was a bigger unit than we expected, a bit dated, but clean and suited our needs. It's close to Echo Point and the start of walking tracks.

There’s parking, and the room was roomy and warm during winter. The bed was heated and the water got hot. Just remember it’s not a hotel, so they don’t clean the room every day. You’ll need to collect the key from the receptionist at Echo Point Motel, so it’s easier to stop there first.
