The Select Inn Ryde

The golf course view from our room was lovely, and daily housekeeping was a nice touch. The building looks like a basic motel, but the amenities were spotless, good quality and well maintained. The bathroom was clean, the bed comfortable, and the towels fluffy with crisp sheets. We were both pleasantly surprised by the care and attention to detail, and we’d stay again without hesitation. Traffic noise was the only negative, though there’s not much they can do about it. If you’re sensitive to it, maybe bring earplugs. We stayed at Select Inn West Ryde to be near family for a visit.

Amy at reception deserves a special mention. She’s lovely and always takes time to help, which really matters when I’m in town for medical appointments. I travel to Sydney every six weeks for appointments at Ryde Hospital, and this motel is now my regular place to stay. It’s about a 10-minute drive, so early mornings are less stressful. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and the rooms are always clean and well maintained, with pretty much everything you need. The one thing missing is a microwave, which is why I gave the room four stars instead of five. The staff are consistently friendly and make an effort to help you have a good stay. There’s plenty of parking, though it can be a little tight at times. It’s free, which is a big bonus compared with many Sydney motels. The location suits my needs perfectly, and I’m always happy to return.

We flew in from interstate that morning and had a funeral to attend at the golf club at midday. The staff had no issue letting us into our room early so we could get dressed, and the service and room were great. We were pleasantly surprised by how clean, comfortable and quiet it was, and we had a pleasant view of the golf course. Thank you very much.

Best budget hotel. We had a great stay. The room was clean and tidy every day, which I really liked. Not every hotel cleans your room daily. Breakfast was good, and the view of the golf course was the best.
