Veriu Green Square

My room was spacious for one person, really clean, and nicely set up. The bed was comfortable, and I liked having a sofa and round table. I also want to thank the very nice male receptionist who checked me in on 27/01. I can't remember his name, but he was able to accommodate my early check-in request. I'd definitely recommend staying here :)

We ended up returning here after our New Zealand trip. I'd first booked three nights and planned to switch hotels, but the great experience brought us back. Veriu Green Square and its staff made the trip comfortable and full of good memories. The room was quiet, clean, and tidy. There are plenty of good nearby places for brunch, Korean BBQ, or sushi, plus a Woolworths. The location was ideal for Central, the museum, Town Hall, and Circular Quay, with Metro T8 just a four-minute walk away. I definitely want to stay again on a future Australia trip.

The comfy bed and well-appointed bathroom made it easy to unwind after travelling. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash smelled fantastic, and I felt great after using them. I also liked the handy hooks for bags, hats, and jackets, almost like useful little bits of art. My room seemed to be a standard one without a kitchenette, but it did have a bar fridge and tea and coffee facilities, which is great if you like PODs. There's also a safe in the room. Getting around was simple. Green Square station is a couple of hundred metres away, and the airport is just two train stops. You can walk to plenty of places too, and the city and airport are both close. The quirky reception is the first thing you notice, and the staff seem to enjoy the unusual setup. It definitely gives people something to talk about. The bar and waiting area is convenient for drinks and snacks, and it's immaculately clean and well presented. I had a fuss-free stay.

Green Square station is close by, and it's just two tube stops to the airport. The hotel sits on the edge of what used to be an industrial area, so the surroundings aren't especially pretty. There's a very small gym. Inside, everything was clean and tidy, and there wasn't much to complain about despite the slightly budget-hotel feel. The elevator stopped working one morning but was fixed within an hour. They charge a percentage for credit card payments and don't take cash. If there's no other way to pay, that fee should really be included in the booking price.
