We extended our stay by a night because the hotel was so lovely. The room and bathroom were exceptionally clean, with beautiful mountain views from the balcony and a nice welcome pack of amenities. There was plenty of free secure parking, two gorgeous peacocks casually wandered around, and the staff were friendly and helpful. A beautiful, luxurious hotel. Highly recommend, and we'll return.

I really enjoyed exploring the region at my own pace, then finishing my stay at Sol Elemental bathouse. The side gate made it easy to go next door to the hotel for dinner. I appreciated the friends of Tamborine discounts, tried the local recommendations, and took home a candle. Peacock o’clock was a fun way to mingle with other guests, and seeing a peacock in the morning on the way to breakfast was a unique surprise. The in-room Love Tea selection was a lovely touch. It was exactly the solo getaway I needed, and a perfect Tamborine stay. I'd highly recommend this luxury accommodation, especially in winter, when it felt very mystical.

The little touches could be improved by adding softer furnishings in the rooms, like a cushioned bedhead or pillows, to match the plush pieces elsewhere in the hotel. Still, the bed was comfortable, rooms were clean, and the shower products were great. We had a 9/10 experience and would definitely stay again. For our two nights, the views were amazing, the shared spaces felt intimate, and the whole place had a lovely vibe. The resident peacocks are beautiful, the included continental breakfast was delicious and well catered, and staff were extremely nice and accommodating. The location is great, with plenty of fun things to do nearby. The Tamborine really got most of the elements right and made our stay feel special and luxurious. Mark & Georgie

We spent plenty of time unwinding at the mineral pool and spa, and had massages in-house. Our room was private, with lovely hinterland views. The staff were friendly, professional and accommodating, and the whole resort style stay felt like great value. We’ve already booked another visit to recharge. My wife, our youngling and I had such a good time at “the Tamborine”. It’s a modern take on a boutique hotel, with huge elevated views over the escarpment. The relaxed feel and retro modern luxe in the shared spaces reminded us of a mix of the former Standard hotel in West Hollywood and the Parker in Palm Springs.

The breakfast is continental, but it was the best I’ve had, with unlimited coffee from the machine and avocado on toast. A peacock came to join us at the pool one morning, then appeared outside at breakfast the next day. The poolside chicken and waffle fries arrived quickly and tasted great. We came for an anniversary weekend without the kids and found it just as relaxing as we’d hoped. The welcome drink each was a lovely touch, and we liked the reception area for peacock hour. Knowing where it was made us feel comfortable coming back later. Try the Mountain Negroni. Dinner pizzas arrived so fast we barely finished our chess game, and it was fun seeing everyone play different games during peacock hour. Our room was clean and modern, with a pretty balcony view, though room 24’s outlook was partly blocked by the neighboring hotel’s garden. The pool and fire pit were both enjoyable. It was sunny in the morning and stormy in the afternoon, but we still got to spend time in both areas when the weather was good. Highly recommend!
