ibis Styles Tamworth

After the awful motel I’d just come from, this place felt AMAZING. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and really nice. The bed was a great size and very comfortable. The bathroom was a good size for two. Water pressure was average, but did the job. HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying here.

I was a desperate mumma needing somewhere to stay on a long trip, and I’m grateful to everyone here. The front desk lady stayed a few extra minutes to check me and my daughter in on Saturday night 21/02/26. She was so sweet and helpful. Thanks also to the lovely lady who checked us out in the morning, and for the great information about Tamworth. My 11-year-old wants to come back and explore, and she'd love the same room 😂. The cleaners did a wonderful job, and I hope you liked the note I left 😀. High five to the maintenance team too, you're doing great work 😀. I'll be back 🥰

The staff were lovely, the hotel was super clean, and the location was great. We also enjoyed the pool since it was quite hot outside. The room was beautifully appointed, though I was a little disappointed there weren't any of the cool decor touches I enjoy at Ibis Styles. I'm an Accor member and stayed with them a lot in Europe on a 2025 trip. My main quibble was breakfast. The continental option cost $25 and was very basic: packaged commercial cereal, tasteless tinned fruit, one yoghurt flavour, basic commercial bread, a croissant, and full cream milk only. I know it's a first-world problem, but I was shocked there wasn't even light milk or plant milk. The full hot breakfast was $35. I had a similar experience at Ibis Styles at Brisbane Airport two years ago, where breakfast felt very “country motel 1975.” I don't know if this was their usual offering. The kitchen was closed for dinner, so perhaps they were short staffed or getting ready for the country music festival. Maybe we caught them at a bad time. Everything else was perfect. The room had two queen beds but only one chair, so apparently only one person could sit at a time. The bar fridge was tiny, barely kept anything cold, and could only hold a standard 600ml drink bottle on its side. The pool was in the car park, which made me too uncomfortable to use. The bar and restaurant were closed, so there was no buffet breakfast. We'd requested a crib, but none was set up when we arrived. We had to contact reception to have one brought to the room. The bathroom wasn't accessibility friendly: there was a very high step into the shower and the toilet stall was narrow. The room locks and keys would overheat and stop working, leaving us locked out. The side ramps were narrow and dangerous if someone parked on the street. It was hard to avoid hitting the side walls, and we couldn't see past people in the street to safely join traffic.
