I’ve stayed at Birches B&B in Taree many times, and it really does feel like a home away from home. Ken and Mark are warm, welcoming hosts who are generous with their hospitality, and the food is some of the best I’ve had anywhere. The house is a beautiful period home, thoughtfully renovated and decorated, with a lovely mix of character, charm and luxury. Every detail feels considered, and the place has a calm, elegant feel. It’s a special place run by genuinely lovely people.

The bed was super comfy, and the hosts were friendly and welcoming. It’s close to shops and restaurants but still quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was just right for getting us back on the road for the drive home, with porridge, carrot juice and coffee.

Ken made us a lovely frittata with Turkish bread, a pot of tea and juice for breakfast. We stayed one night and loved it. The home is beautifully decorated, with everything thoughtfully taken care of. I don’t think we’ve had a better overnight stay anywhere. Pat & Lorelle Smythe would thoroughly recommend it.

Ken & Mark are wonderful hosts who clearly enjoy what they do. The residence is beautifully lavish and tastefully decorated, and our suite was superb. I first stayed at The Birches three years ago with our daughter; in the last ten days, my husband and I returned twice, a week apart. I didn’t even consider other accommodation this time. There’s nothing I wouldn’t rave about, five stars on every count. You won’t be disappointed.

Ken, Mark and their two furry companions made us feel very welcome. Their accommodation is beautiful, and we’re looking forward to visiting again. It’s a special place, hard not to love.
