The Ploughman's Platter and massage were two highlights for us, and all the farm animals and native wildlife made the peaceful setting feel extra special. We had a romantic weekend at The Barracks at Tocal, with spotless accommodation and lovely historic character. The team followed our itinerary and gave us plenty of privacy. Even from the time we booked, they were thoughtful and attentive. Such a memorable country escape.

We spent the weekend in the Hunter for my girlfriend's 30th, and the place was amazing. There was so much history and charm in the restored barracks, and we enjoyed exploring the farmhouse and saying hello to the animals. It'd suit anything from a wedding to a quiet weekend away. 10/10.

The team were so friendly and helpful, and the property is lovely to wander around. We booked all four rooms at the Barracks for the night before and the night of our wedding. The restored rooms were clean, comfortable and romantic, and the breakfast baskets were a great addition. We'll be back regularly for our anniversary.

Michael kept checking whether we needed anything, and was caring, kind, friendly and so accommodating. We got married onsite at Tocal Homestead, and used the Barracks both to stay and to get ready with my bridal party. It worked out beautifully for hair, makeup and photos, with all the space and natural light. We spent two nights there and I wished we could've stayed longer. The place is peaceful, with little spots to explore nearby. My family and I stayed the previous October for my wedding, and the whole experience felt like a dream. I'd love to do it all again and hope to return someday. Thanks for such a magical stay.

Breakfast was great, the place was very clean, the linen lovely, and the mattress was beautifully firm. We didn't have internet for the whole five-night stay, but everything else was so good that it wasn't a big deal. Kali was especially caring and clearly passionate about her work. Booking through checkout was really nice, too. We'd stayed at the Barracks about two years earlier, and both visits were amazing. We'll keep it on our list for next time ♡♡
