I spent almost six weeks here while working on renovating the beautiful kitchen for my catering company. The owners have done an amazing job renovating every room and improving the outside areas, including the parking. The security cameras were recently upgraded, and the gardens look fresh and cared for. Peter and Tiger, the new owners, are wonderful and really care about giving guests the best. Five stars all the way. I recommend this little touch of Toowoomba paradise.

I arrived very early on Saturday morning, worn out and not sure what to expect. The team at Toowoomba Motel welcomed me kindly and gave me a bed and a safe, comfortable place to sleep that night. I’m sincerely grateful for their hospitality and generosity. They really went out of their way for me.

The reception staff were friendly, but the motel itself felt overpriced and dated. Cupboards in the bathroom were down on the floor, the oven elements were rusty, caved in and dirty, and the kitchen shelves were coming loose and falling toward the floor. Renovation noise also carried on well past a reasonable hour. I won't be back.

We paid $148 for a dirty, run-down place. There was old soap left in the shower holder, a used tea bag in the toilet bin and no spare toilet roll. The ironing board had no cover, and the car park was filthy too. Generally grubby all round. Next time I’ll sleep in my car. Go elsewhere.

The hosts greeted us warmly, and the customer service was lovely, which can be hard to find these days. Our room was clean, comfortable and warm. It’s a little dated, but that suited Toowoomba’s old-school charm. We also had a beautiful view from the spacious balcony. We had an amazing stay and would definitely come again. I’ll recommend it to all our friends at Canungra Qld. Thanks for having us.
