Central Islington

The room was dirty and unhygienic, with laundry from the previous guests left in the apartment and a bad smell. We asked for a new room. I called and emailed straight away but got nowhere, as reception was closed and there was no after-hours support. The lifts were also unavailable, and we'd been placed on level 8 with children, something they hadn't told us when we booked. We paid for a clean room and services we couldn't use, but no one was available to discuss the problems at the time. Since then, my calls and emails have either been ignored or met with promises that someone will get back to me, which never happens. Our stay was over a month ago, and we're still waiting to hear from the Central Islington team.

Room 18 was fine apart from the bed bugs. I reported them, but never got a reply or any follow-up. There was no Smart TV, and the WIFI was horrible. I needed internet for work and got no response during my stay when I asked about WIFI options, which was frustrating.

Apartment 89 was in a terrible state, and we're extremely disappointed and disgusted. We were travelling with two young children. The fly screens were badly torn and had no locks, so the kids could easily fit through them. They were a hazard. The balcony was filthy, floors and walls included. Tiles throughout the apartment were stained, and when I cleaned a small spot the dirt came off. The walls were dirty, marks were all over the carpets, and the cushions had mould. The dryer was repugnant, with dust, stains, a disgusting smell, and underwear left by previous guests. Really, when we're paying $500? The property fell below any acceptable standard. This was by far our worst experience, and the apartment should have been professionally cleaned before charging a family $500 for two nights. I've emailed photos of the underwear and am still waiting for a reply or contact. No answers, refund, or apology.

The whole place smelled awful, and the carpets were filthy. The couch looked like it had been pulled off the side of the road. There's no streaming service, so no smart TV, and the internet was extremely slow at best. Absolutely gross.
