Customer service was excellent, and the location was terrific. But the apartments are old, not very clean, and seem to need significant maintenance. I kept having trouble with my key fob, and there are no lifts in the building. The photos and reviews felt somewhat misleading, and I was very disappointed by the condition. I'd booked for two weeks but couldn't stay beyond two days.

The gardens, pool, spa and barbecue area were lovely and well kept. The apartments are spacious and beautiful, with magnificent views from every room. It's in an excellent spot near The Strand, cafes, restaurants, parks and the waterpark.

Because of a possible flood evacuation alert in Townsville this morning, I had to cancel my family's five-night stay starting 30/12. I booked through booking.com, and they charged me a one-night cancellation fee. The manager said I should have taken out travel insurance, even though we live in Brisbane 😫. I asked if we could move the booking to another school holiday period, but he said I'd still be charged $560 for cancelling now. He was rude and didn't care about repeat stays. I've been through natural disasters myself and understand their impact on businesses, but his disrespect and rudeness were unforgettable.

The units are spacious and clean, with great facilities including a tennis court and swimming pool. Lovely views, and an easy walk to the beach.

There's no need to hire a car if you're visiting from interstate for just a few days, since so much is nearby. The Magnetic Island ferry terminal is a short walk away, with plenty of cafes and restaurants close by. Tiny Mountain Brewery is about a 15-minute walk. The location is great, just off The Strand, with gorgeous views of Castle Hill, Magnetic Island and the beach.
