Connells Motel & Serviced Apartments

The two-bedroom serviced apartment worked really well for our conference trip to Traralgon, which lasted just under a week. It was conveniently located for everything we needed, and the facilities felt comfortable and homey. Service was good, too. Great value, and I’d recommend it, especially for a longer stay.

The shower could have been cleaner, with mould in a few spots, but it was only the shower. The room was clean otherwise, the staff were very pleasant, and the stay was worth it.

We’d paid upfront for two nights and had confirmation of a ground-floor room, but none was available when we arrived. After a lot of back and forth, they paid for us to stay at another motel. We lost the second night and went home instead. There were permanent residents in the rooms, so I don’t understand how our room had been confirmed. I wouldn’t stay there again after this.

The room was clean and comfortable, with what you’d expect at a budget motel. I liked having a microwave under the bench, plus a comfy chair and footrest so I didn’t have to sit on the bed. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. I’d heard people mention traffic noise, but it didn’t bother me much, and the roller shutters blocked most of it. A few more conveniently placed power points would’ve been nice.
