East Hotel

Parking was easy, with EV chargers on site, and check-out took less than three minutes. Our clean, spacious room was comfortable, and check-in went smoothly. Todd went above and beyond to accommodate us after I mistakenly booked a different room type. Agostino’s room service arrived impressively fast, and every reception staff member we met was respectful, friendly and genuinely helpful. I’ve stayed at East Hotel several times and never had a bad experience. It’s my go-to in Canberra, highly recommended.

The bed was so uncomfortable and hard that I was extremely sore for two days and didn’t want to stay the second night. Staff were excellent and tried adding some padding the next day, but it still felt excessively hard. It was two single beds pushed together, though I can’t imagine every room has a bed this hard. That’s the reason I couldn’t see myself staying again, despite loving the location and vibe. Everything else was perfect for us. The one bedroom unit was large, nice and had everything we needed. The price was decent and included an upgrade. The atmosphere and staff were nice, and dinner from the full restaurant was good. We ate in the lobby instead, which was comfortable, quiet and even better. Kingston Hotel is across the road, and it’s a nice area, about a five minute walk to Kingston shops. I stayed at East Hotel years ago and recently decided to return.

Delays meant I didn’t arrive until 11:30pm, but check-in was smooth and there were no problems. Three days later, check-out was just as easy. The room was beautifully set up, with distinct areas and a balcony furnished with chairs and a table. It was very comfortable and had everything I needed. The bed and bedding were excellent, as were the bathroom facilities. Parking underneath was included at no extra cost.

I stayed during a busy weekend in October 2025, and it was a really good hotel. Parking was convenient, reception was responsive and friendly, and the room was nice. It was very quiet up on a high floor.
