Oriental Hotel

We held a small party here, and the restaurant was perfect. Everything we ordered was delicious and came in generous portions. The Pork Rib was my standout, the best I've had in Australia. The staff were friendly and kept smiling and talking with us despite being busy. The service was great. I love this place and we'll definitely have another party here soon.

The food was delicious, drinks kept coming, and the vibe was just right for a bottomless brunch. Johnny deserves a big shout-out for his next-level service. Friendly and attentive, he kept our glasses full without being over the top, which made the whole brunch relaxed and enjoyable. We'll definitely be back!

We had dinner outside on the deck, climbing the stairs to get to the outer bog group, while twilight turned the mountains pink on a 39C day. The warm weather, lovely views and gorgeous meal made for a really relaxing evening. You can also eat in the bistro downstairs. The pub menu is extensive and reasonably priced, with lots of local trout. Even though staff were under pressure with the Tumut Cycle Classic Race, the wait staff stayed kind, friendly and welcoming. We dined Saturday 10 Jan. Hearty congratulations to the wait staff, bar staff and chef for looking after us so well and giving us a great night. The meal, service, atmosphere and value were all wonderful.

After weeks in the bush eating instant noodles and baked beans, this meal felt great. I had whole roast locally caught trout with perfectly cooked potatoes and a fresh, crunchy side salad. The Churros for dessert were a real hit too, with the usual chocolate dip and ice-cream plus a lovely blob of vanilla custard. I ate in the air-conditioned bar on a very hot day. The Hotel's WiFi is only available to residents, which is a shame for foreign travellers with limited eSIM data. It would be nice if diners could use it too.
