Woolpack Hotel Tumut

The team behind the bar and serving meals are so welcoming, always greeting us with smiles. The Woolpack Tumut is a family friendly pub, and the food comes out fresh, fast and delicious, with generous portions. Danielle Adams has been cooking there for many years. Highly recommended.

Sitting out on the footpath with a beer on a warm autumn evening was pleasant, watching the world go by, which can take a looong time in Tumut. I didn't eat, but the servings looked huge, so bring your appetite. There's also a really big TV at the back. Staff said party political content and porn were off the menu. I was overcharged for a couple of drinks. When I asked, the bar staff said they'd noticed the error too but hadn't mentioned it, then corrected it.

The lasagne is the best thing I've had here, and the other meals are delicious too. It's a welcoming pub with friendly staff. There are plenty of places to sit indoors or outside, depending on the weather.

The steak was fantastic, and the value for money was a welcome bonus. Friendly staff too. Absolutely one of the best meals we've had, and I can't praise the experience enough.
