Mount Browne Cottage

Glenn and Dale were great hosts, and we really enjoyed our three nights at the cottage. It’s well equipped and sits in a beautiful, peaceful spot just a short drive from town. We had our two pups with us, and the cottage was perfect for our stay.

Dale and Glenn went above and beyond as hosts, which made our honeymoon stay even more special. The cottage was a lovely, relaxing space with everything we needed, and plenty of room for the dogs. We had a really lovely time!

The hosts were great and communication was good. The property has a lovely bush setting, but it’s still not far from Coffs Harbour. I’d definitely stay again.

Dale was a really helpful host and quick to communicate. Her guide also points out dog parks around Coffs, including Thompsons Road near the car dealerships, which we tried and thought was brilliant. The cottage is wonderfully quiet apart from the cicadas, which are in full voice this year, and it’s clean and surrounded by nature. The location is handy too, about 10 minutes to Coffs and under 10 minutes to BroadAxe Bistro at the Coramba Hotel. The bistro has great meals, a large outdoor courtyard, a jumping castle for kids, and is pet-friendly. We found the queen bed comfortable, and with the curtains drawn the room stays dark. The bathroom is spacious, with a shower, bathtub and fluffy towels. There’s a fully enclosed back area for dogs. The kitchen has everything needed to cook dinner, plus a dishwasher. My husband made a great green chicken curry. There are books, including a Donna Hay cookbook, and some games. Netflix and wifi are available too, which let me make phone calls on What'sApp since my Optus mobile had no coverage. A great place to stay!
