We came down for two days and loved Walhalla and Creek Cottage. The cabin is lovely, has everything you need, and Astrid was a great host. We spent two nights because the drive takes five hours, though one day is really enough. Don’t count on internet, but if you have a mobile devise you don’t need the WiFi. It’s nice to take a break from the internet anyway. We did the train, the mine tour and the walk along the overlook. A tip: we walked to the mile, then the tour starts right there at the mine. From there, walk to the end and back down right at the cabin. We cooked breakfast and dinner, and had lunch at Witchery Cafe, which was nice. Excellent location and lodging, PREFECT. Highly recommend Walhalla and the sights.

Cute cottage right in the centre of town, and easy to book for one night. It has two bedrooms and is close to the pub for dinner. Great location, though we couldn’t get any TV stations.

My husband and I booked Creek Cottage for the nights before and of our wedding. Astrid was lovely, and her team took great care of us. There was a power outage on the first night, which happens regularly in Walhalla and couldn’t have been predicted, but it didn’t spoil our stay. We did find a bit of food left in the oven by the previous occupants and threw it out. Mistakes happen. All in all, it was a delightful stay.

Astrid was great to deal with, and we had an amazing two nights in this gorgeous little cottage. It was clean, spacious, warm and super cozy, with a great location and lovely views. The bed was comfy, but the shower was amazing, the water pressure was sensational. We had beautiful birds on the verandah and even deer just across the creek. One gave a huge loud HONK that scared my partner. Haha. We’ll definitely be back!

It’s a quaint little cottage right in the middle of town, with everything you need and close to all the local attractions, though nothing fancy. In summer, we enjoyed sitting out in the yard and making the most of the weather, or taking a short walk to one of the nearby swimming spots. I think it’d be just as lovely in winter, tucked up indoors with a drink and looking at the scenery through the windows.
