Dinner was devive and breakie was amazing, and the owners were a delight. We had lovely Bristol views where we stayed. Love, love, love this place. Do yourself a massive favour and book it. We can’t wait to come back, and the best thing is being able to completely disconnect. Enjoy the drive, it’s a seriously fun one.

Dinner and breakfast were included, and it was lovely sitting in the lounge chatting with the hosts and other guests. The hosts know the local area so well, and parking was easy. The hotel is a tasteful modern replica of its historic predecessor, in a beautiful old town full of history. The resident puppies were happy to get pats when asked.

The food was amazing and came with the room, and Michael and Russell made us feel welcome with all their local tips. The rooms are enormous, and the place has a wonderful atmosphere and all the amenities we could want. We also loved meeting Tilly, Rupert and Otte. We'd happily come back.

We knocked and called, but nobody answered. We could hear people talking inside, and there was a dog by the fly screen. There was no intention to intimidate anyone, just giving honest feedback about a poor experience. The signs on the front door say plenty about how unfriendly this business feels. I came here years ago, and it was nothing like this.

The owners are lovely and very accommodating, and the food is amazing. The place could use a bit of updating, though it's historic and set in a beautiful location.
