Walpole is a relaxed place with mild weather and plenty of nature to enjoy. The location worked well for us, with space to comfortably accommodate four families with kids. There were separate rooms for parents, and room for the kids either with them or separately. The kitchen is well appointed with options for all ages. Just keep an eye on toddlers, as there are no cupboard doors. Outside, there's a large area with plenty of space for yard games. Phone coverage was good with Telstra, and internet access was available too.

I could only stay one night, but it felt homely and the family running it made us feel welcome. Free WiFi is a real treat and rare in Australia. The modern kitchen was very clean and had nice cooking utensils. The beds were really comfortable, much better than at pricier backpackers. Fair room rate too. Spectacular family. I'd stay again!

I've come back once a year for the past four years, and it's always been a lovely stay at a great price. The family who own the place are lovely and happy to chat. It's an easy walk to everything in town, and a good base for seeing the local attractions.

A great place to stay for a few days. The current managers, Mal and Lee, are amazing, the best caretakers I've met running a place like this.

Nice room size, good amenities and a great location. The staff are friendly and helpful, it's family friendly, and good value for money. I'll definitely return.
