The lounge hadn’t been vacuumed in ages. There were still food scraps and pistachio shells in the crevices, and the oven was dirty too. Its drip tray still had foil and grease left by whoever cooked there before us. This place is too far out of Hobart and not as close to the water as claimed. After reading the response, I want to say that even if the listing doesn’t call it oceanfront, the beach photos are really misleading. Maybe they belong with the other property.

The kitchen let the house down. The stovetop was locked, the fry pans were too scratched to use and spoiled the food, and supplies were sparse. There weren’t any tea bags or enough toilet paper for our group. The house itself was clean and tidy, with two lounges and DVDs. Communication with the owners was good, and they tried to sort out the problems we had.

Dinner prep and washing up have never been this relaxing, with definite ocean views to look at. The home is beautiful, clean, tidy and easy to access, with everything you need and more. You can tell a lot of thought went into setting it up. Thanks for sharing it with us.

My husband and I lived in Mirramar Park for 7 years, so we can say the beach view shown in the advertisement isn’t possible from the published address. It must be a view of one of the nearby beaches, but it certainly isn’t visible from the accommodation.

Kingston was a great find. This is a lovely, roomy house in a really quiet area, with stunning water views. We’ll definitely book it again.
