We stayed one night at Country Roads on the way to Armidale and another on the way back, and were glad we chose it. The hosts were friendly and helpful, and the room was quiet, clean, comfortable, and easy to keep warm or cool. It was reasonably priced, had everything we needed, and then a little extra. Really couldn't have asked for more.

Lee knows the area well and was a warm, welcoming host. The room smelled fresh and clean as soon as we arrived, and the bed was extremely comfortable, with an electric blanket for cold nights. Good water pressure too. For a small hotel, it's great value. We'd happily stay again when passing this way and recommend it.

We didn't like the room we booked and asked for a refund, but the Indian guy ignored us. My kids then had to wait in a hot car on a 38 degree day while we looked for somewhere else, which we found at an even cheaper price. This was one of the dirtiest motels in town. Please don't stay there.

I was there for a week for work, and the owners went way beyond what you'd expect. They even drove out to the solar farm where I was working at 6pm to jump-start my car. The place was clean and the rooms were comfortable, just what you need out those ways. Genuine people with big hearts, and hospitality worth more than a thousand stars. Highly recommend!

We stayed for almost two weeks and had a wonderful time. The rooms were quiet, lovely, and very clean, and the motel is well placed in town for walking if needed. After we'd booked into an awful place, the owners went out of their way to help and accommodate us. Highly recommend, but book early since they're constantly busy.
