True Blue Motor Inn

After driving all night, I needed a room and the owner let me check in early at 10 am. I was happy to pay a few extra dollars for the convenience, and it was still great value. The clean room and comfy bed gave me a much-needed shower and rest. It rained all day, so it was a good time to stop, just before christmas 2025. The metro servo is right next door, handy for grabbing a meal and refreshments.

I barely slept because there were black bugs around the bed, including one crawling on the bed near my head. There were three in all, plus leaves and twigs on the carpet by the door. I was there for one night with my sister and brother-in-law in the next room, where the adjoining door handle was hanging off. The room was average. Wi-fi didn’t work at first, and I could only get the password from reception online. There was nobody at reception, and the connection kept dropping during the night. The pool was full of debris and unfit for swimming. I didn’t see any staff during my stay. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless you’re desperate.

The owner was so helpful when we arrived late on a public holiday to ask about rooms. The rooms were spacious, the beds comfortable, and the price was really good. I’d recommend staying here.

The room was okay and the beds were comfortable, but the man at the desk was rude and intrusive. One night after visiting friends for a barbecue, we thought we’d lost the key and went to ask him because we thought it might be inside. He opened the door and walked in to look around. I was shocked he thought he could just enter, especially with our tired children there, and asked him to leave. He also kept asking my wife personal questions she felt he had no right to ask. We had a corner room, which was larger, but kept getting parked in. The room wasn’t fully clean, with old soap in the shower and dirt here and there. The cereal bowls were tiny, and although they replaced the towels, they didn’t replenish the coffee or sugar we’d used. It was about the cheapest hotel in town, but I’d still think twice before staying again.
