The brolgas milling around the motel were lovely to watch, and there’s covered parking for one car. We stayed four nights and really enjoyed it. The rooms are basic, but very clean and serviced, with comfy beds, good air con and a good shower. There’s a small kitchenette, though the main street is just a quick stroll away, along with the pubs. The food at Tattersalls down the road was so good we went more than once. The Waltzing Matilda centre and Lost Poets cafe are close by and both worth a visit. Narelle and her family are wonderful hosts. After a certain booking company cancelled our reservation in the middle of the night for no reason, Narelle was super helpful and accommodating and managed to find us another room, even though it wasn’t easy. Just a small gripe: the bathroom has one tiny shelf for toiletries, which really isn’t enough, so we had to put things on the floor. That could be an easy fix. Still, I’d recommend this motel and its lovely people to anyone. Thank you 😊

The owners were so friendly and helpful, and made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. After a long drive, the clean, spacious room and amazingly comfortable bed were just what we needed. Such a great place to rest and recharge. We had a lovely stay at the Outback Motel and highly recommend it!

The kids and I felt safe and well looked after here. Management were warm, welcoming and exceptionally helpful. We stayed in the family room, which was very clean and had its own bathroom, kitchenette and a big balcony. It’s right on the main street, close to EVERYTHING.

I arrived late, and the managers told me to get to the roadhouse for dinner before it closed because the pub was no longer taking orders. They said they’d turn on the air con and leave the cans and lights on, and told me to get there while I still could. When I got back, the room was clean and cool, and I slept well. I had a chat with the managers in the morning too. Great spot on Main Street for an overnight stay. They’re a fantastic Aussie outback couple, so kind to a traveller passing through. Give them a go, you’ll be glad you did.

We got in with an electric chair, and the accessible room was awesome. There’s a ramp all the way up, plus an accessible bathroom with everything you need. Great wheelchair accessible rooms.
