I’ve stayed here twice, each time for one to two weeks, and really appreciate the staff and rooms. As a wheelchair user, I found the rooms worked well for me. Special thanks to the lovely staff who clean and make up the rooms. The pub downstairs is a bonus, with a great kitchen crew serving tasty dishes at good prices. The one downside is that the pub isn’t fully wheelchair accessible, though that didn’t affect my stay and the staff are very accommodating. During one visit, the room next door was awfully loud, especially the TV. I’m not sure whether the soundproofing is lacking or it was just that guest. Apart from that, a 10/10 stay.

The room was cool when we arrived, which was a relief after a day over 40 degrees. It was tidy, clean, cosy and comfortable, and we slept soundly. The shower was great, with good pressure, and we especially appreciated the TimTams with the tea and coffee. Check-out was easy, and there’s parking behind the hotel. We only stayed overnight, but it was one of our best nights away from home. Everyone we encountered, from reception to the bar, wait staff and cleaners, was friendly and helpful. The bistro had a relaxed atmosphere and something for all tastes. We shared a tasty pepperoni pizza, and I had the grilled steak tacos from the small snacks menu. The serve was generous, with tender, flavourful meat. Food and drink prices were very reasonable. We’ll definitely stay again. Thank you.

(Food Poisoning) The photos made the place look really good, as did the entrance. Some areas were open and looked like a construction demolition site, though that alone wasn’t really a problem. I’m writing early in the morning because of the food. Last night at cono pub I ordered the two steak tacos from the starters menu. They looked great and tasted alright, but were very salty. By 3am I had intense stomach cramps, and now at 6am I’ve been back and forth to the toilet ever since. I’m pretty disappointed. Things are expensive these days, and a meal out with friends feels like a bit of a luxury. I don’t want to spend the night with my behind in a bowl.

A nice spot near the train station for a short stay. Staff were 5/5. There’s no microwave, but that wasn’t a big deal. I didn’t order anything from the bar and wish I had, maybe next time. I’m giving it 4/5 because I missed trying the food, my fault, and we had a power outage at some point that really confused me, but I managed haha.

The room had been recently refurbished, and I stayed in an accessible room. There was good clearance around the bed, an open bench desk, and carpet that caused no trouble getting in. The bathroom was wheelchair compliant, though there was a small lip at its entrance. The lift from the ground floor runs 24 hours. The only issue I found was that the towel storage in the bathroom wasn’t at an accessible height.
