Wonboyn Cabins & Caravan Park

We were four people staying in the cabin for four nights while on a fishing trip in New South Wales. It was clean, comfortable and set up well for us, and everything worked without any problems. The location suited the fishing trip, and we had some very good catches. We enjoyed our stay a lot and would happily recommend the place, particularly to anyone coming to fish.

The drive from Melbourne to Wonboyn lake is a long one, but I make it every year because it’s worth it. This time I brought a bunch of mates, and 6 out of the 8 who’d never been are already sorting out dates to come back. The hosts are awesome, the accommodation is clean, and the surroundings are beautiful. Loads of nato, great fishing and great beaches too. My list could keep going. The sites run lengthwise rather than side by side, so bigger rigs might find that tricky, but once we were set up it worked out well. We spent 2 nights here in our caravan. The amenities are a little old, though very clean, and there’s a washing machine and dryer if you need them. Staff were friendly and helpful. We hired a boat for a couple of hours on picturesque Lake Wonboyn, where you can fish or swim. There were plenty of Roos and different kinds of birds around. A fantastic beach is also worth visiting if you’re willing to travel 3ks along a dirt road. I can’t imagine it ever getting crowded. We really enjoyed our time and they deserve our support.

Wild lives often come by, which adds to the peaceful feel, and the park isn’t crowded like the nearby caravan parks. We’ve spent the last three Christmas/New Year family holidays at Luke and Sarah’s place. It’s great value, the fishing is amazing and the customer service is great. The beds are so comfortable too.
