Y Motels Yarraman

I came up from Sydney and had the best quiet night's sleep I've had in years. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the pillows were so good I even tried to buy one. Most of the rooms seemed to be occupied by construction workers, but they were polite and even invited me to join them. After 6pm it was silent, I didn't hear a thing. The welcome was great too, really friendly.

The room was a good size and, even though the motel is near the highway, it stayed quiet. I could back the car right up to the room, which was handy. It's clean, practical and reasonably priced, with no booking and no fuss. A nice motel in a good spot. Well done to the manager.

We had a warm welcome when we arrived, and the room was spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed. It was basic, but had what we needed for the night, including a microwave, kettle and cutlery. The pillows were excellent for motel pillows, and they had no problem accommodating our little dog. This will be our halfway stop from now on.

The only thing that didn't suit me personally was the soft bed and rather hard pillows. Everything else made the $140 per night feel like a bargain by today's standards. Our recently refurbished room was spacious, as was the bathroom, and it was quiet with hardly any road noise after 10pm. There was a covered carport right outside, and the pub and shops were an easy walk away. Check-in was friendly and simple. The room was very clean, with a fresh paint job, matching textured furnishings and drapes, new carpet, and lots of room for suitcases. It also had a new air conditioner and heater, fridge, kettle, toaster, and tea and coffee. The bathroom had new tiles, accessible soap dispensers and very good quality towels. It's not five-star luxury, but for comfortable, excellent-value accommodation in the lovely town of Yarraman, it's worth five stars.
