The location worked for me, and getting around by Bolt was easy and cheap. I was there for six nights, and nobody came to clean the room during the day. Some rooms smell, the place feels outdated, and the walls or slabs don’t block sound well. One night I could hear loud activity for half the night, and the air conditioning couldn’t be adjusted. Breakfast was well below average. They don’t serve hot food at the counter, though they’ll make eggs if you ask. Some days there was nothing set out, and staff only started bringing random items to the table after we sat down, which wasn’t convenient when in a hurry. The staff didn’t speak English. It was okay for a business trip, though I get the impression it used to be an expensive hotel.

Affordable and elegant looking, though it feels quite old. The bathroom has been remodeled, which is great, but the bedsheets are so worn and rough that sleeping on them was uncomfortable. Replacing the mattress linen wouldn’t cost much.

From the balcony we could see the Heydar Aliyev Center and part of the towers. The hotel is in a great location near the Center. We arrived early in the morning and, luckily, they were still able to check us in. Our room was large, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were really friendly and ready to help. Breakfast was good too.

The rooms with a back view are especially nice. The hotel was good, and a special thanks to the afternoon-shift woman at the check-in desk for kindly arranging what we asked for.

We had a family room with the kids and really loved our four-day stay. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had beautiful furniture. The reception team spoke English, so communication was easy, and they even gave us a SIM card for internet access when we were outside the hotel. Breakfast wasn’t a buffet, but they were happy to add what we wanted to the menu. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, going out of their way to look after us. My only suggestion is that the rooms could use smart TVs.
