I stayed here in 2023, and it was a poor experience. I wouldn't stay again. On arrival, food leftovers and trash behind a cabinet were stinking up the room and had to be cleaned. The room itself was deteriorating, with a broken shower rack, missing curtains, and a faulty water tap. When I went back to the hotel, my roommate still had the room key, but the staff couldn't provide a spare. Late at night, I arranged an airport ride through hotel staff for four people. We were charged for two cars, but one driver refused to take us, so all of us had to squeeze into one car. The second car's cost wasn't refunded, and we paid much more than the quoted amount. I'd recommend arranging your own transfer.

Even though some of the rooms and amenities fell short, the people more than made up for it with their hospitality. Everyone we encountered during our short stay was warm and helpful, whatever the time. When we arrived early, they offered us breakfast at no charge while they got our room ready for early check-in.

I spent two days here, and I know I wouldn't come back. The room didn't look like the photos, the bath water never got hot, and breakfast had a poor selection. I couldn't pay by card even though the hotel said card payment was possible, and I didn't have local currency. Getting to the hotel is difficult because of the nearby highway. You have to cross six lanes, the subway is far away, and a taxi seems like the only option. There's also a football field right next door where they practice every day until midnight, so it gets very noisy. I definitely don't recommend it.

The staff were very rude, and I can't call this a hotel. The name is inside the hotel as Baku, not City Land as shown on booking.com 😅. The place was like trash and nothing like the photos. There wasn't even a water boiler. The mattress was filthy, with a lady's period blood spot on it, and they seemed okay with that. There were no extra pillows when I asked. Water was leaking and no one came to fix it. The door handle was broken, and the AC had no remote.

This place is now called "Cityland hotel baku". Two hours before we arrived, the staff canceled our reservation and suggested another horrible hotel like theirs. The staff were terrible. There's a football field right in front, too, so if you want to stay awake all night, this is the hotel for you.
