Breakfast was delicious each morning, and Saveda made sure it suited what we liked. Oktay was always available when we needed anything and helped make our stay feel pleasant and safe. Everyone on staff was polite and helpful. We had a warm welcome at Sahil Inn, and its location is close to the tourist spots. I'd recommend it to people visiting Baku for the first time.

The room smelled awful, the bed was terrible, and the water went off for a few hours every day. The staff were lovely, but there wasn't much they could do, and the manager didn't seem to care. The location is the only good thing about this hotel.

We arrived late at night in baku after our previous reservation had been cancelled, and they took advantage of our situation. They sent us to a truly horrific place, a sex motel in a sketchy area on the outskirts of baku, and charged us 100 USD. Thieves. I wouldn't go there.

The hotel arranged for us to move out the morning after our first night, saying there were water issues. We had booked five nights, and I doubt that was true since no one else seemed to be asked to leave. They suggested a few other hotels, but the reviews made them sound dodgy, so we booked an Airbnb instead. In hindsight, they did us a favour. Our room and bathroom were small, dark, and dated; the entrance was hard to spot, and the balcony looked onto a dirty backyard and was covered in dust and leaves. Breakfast was limited, and we weren't offered a choice, just given food. I've never rated a place this poorly before, but it was a huge letdown. Avoid it.
