Kilim Boutique Hotel

The breakfast could use some improvement. Our second-floor suite was spacious and comfortable, with a balcony, and the hotel is right in the heart of the old town.

Getting in touch with the hotel was a real struggle. The email listed on their website doesn't work, there's no WhatsApp number, and they never answered our Booking.com messages. Even customer service couldn't reach them by phone. It got particularly stressful when they tried to charge my card even though the booking was marked “no prepayment.” I received “action required” notices, and it seemed my reservation might be cancelled. The rooms themselves were very clean and as expected. We booked one economy and one deluxe; the deluxe was spacious, while the smaller economy room was still comfortable for a short stay. The location is excellent, right in the city center and within walking distance of many Old City attractions. Staff were generally kind and hospitable, especially at breakfast. When we accidentally broke a glass in the room, they didn't charge us. Breakfast is an area to improve, too. There wasn't much variety, mostly plain vegetables.

Everything is within walking distance from this spot in the old city near Nazimi street. There's also a great Coffee Shop underneath.

The location puts most well-known tourist spots and restaurants nearby, right at the entrance to the Old Baku Town. Elchin, the hotel manager, welcomed us with wonderful hospitality. This brand new boutique hotel has spacious, very clean rooms. They provided turndown service and a fresh fruit platter on the first day only. Breakfast was classic local cuisine, served very well by Chef Isa.
