Mövenpick Winter Park Baku Hotel

The location was the only good thing. I’ve never experienced such rude treatment, and there was no customer service. Taxis stop in front of the hotel, so if you order Bolt they can’t stop on the road, and my ride had to be cancelled a few times. I’d already requested an extra bed when I booked, then asked for it three more times. It finally arrived at 11 pm. I also asked for a connecting room, but nobody came to open the door, even after I contacted room service. The room phone didn’t work. I told staff, and one person said they’d send maintenance, but nobody came. The bathroom water hose didn’t work either. I booked a spa through the hotel App, but when I arrived they said there was no booking. Reception has to inform the spa about bookings, and they hadn’t. I was also told you have to go to the spa in person to book an appointment. At checkout, no one was there to help with the luggage trolley. When I asked the receptionist to get someone, she gave me attitude, as if helping wasn’t part of the hotel’s job. The breakfast staff were horrible. When I asked for a spoon, one shouted, “go to station go station.” Another day we asked for someone to clean a table and he shouted, “WAIT WAIT.” I found a hair in my omelet eggs, and never ate breakfast at the hotel again. I have a picture as evidence. This hotel isn’t tourist friendly at all. I was a mother traveling alone with my small kids, and they made the trip stressful. I’d never book here again.

The room was spacious and clean, with a nice view of the harbour area and the flame towers. We were welcomed very warmly when we arrived, and the staff were helpful throughout. The hotel is near most of Baku’s main sightseeing points and within walking distance of the train station. A customer relations staff member booked a tour for us and gave us lots of tips to make our stay in Baku better. I’d love to come back.

Nigar made my stay especially memorable. She was professional, kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a warm smile. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, making for a relaxing stay from beginning to end. Highly recommended, and I look forward to staying here again.

Everything was perfect, from the room to the housekeeping. Elshan and Asmar at the breakfast buffet were especially kind and professional, really hard to describe. They know how to treat guests. I’d come back because of those two, and they deserve to be considered for an upcoming promotion. Thanks to everyone, and especially Elshan and Asmar.
