Sahil Park Hotel on Nizami street

After our second night, just as we were heading out for a full day of sightseeing, the receptionist knocked and told me to pack because we had to move to a much smaller room for a new booking. All our things were out of the bags, with snacks and other stuff around the room. I called the owner through the receptionist, but he kept shouting that we'd booked a double room, not the quad room they'd shown us. He then said we could take a partial refund for one night and leave, but we decided to move. The new room's bathroom exhaust didn't work and it was stuffy and smelly; they said they had no room freshener, and we had to buy our own bottled water downstairs. On checkout day, the staff were grumpy and rude when we left our bags in the lobby before brunch, unlike how friendly they'd been at first. We had booked online with pay-on-arrival and a full refund if we cancelled. The entrance was a dark, shady passage and stairway, so we worried we'd got the wrong place and one of us stayed with the luggage while the other checked upstairs. The room we were shown was large and clean, with amenities and a working exhaust. We paid in advance for the whole stay, 100 Mannat and then 81 Mannat about an hour later, but got no receipt. When we asked, the receptionist wrote both amounts on a piece of paper. There was a language barrier, but staff were friendly at check-in and Google Translate worked well enough.

The hotel seemed good at first, but after two days they told us we couldn't stay, even though we'd booked and paid for three nights in advance. We missed our tour because there was no hot water in the shower. I wouldn't recommend it.

This is really just a house with six or seven rooms, not a proper hotel. There was no staff around, the stairs are steep, and you have to carry your own luggage. The lights were often off, and no heater was provided during the day. The owner was very rude and seemed interested only in money, knocking on the door early in the morning to ask for it. They use very old things, then blame you if something breaks. I hated it and wouldn't recommend it.

The room price was reasonable, and the location was good, though the hotel was very hard to find. Staff were rude and behaved unprofessionally toward customers.
