We arrived with a confirmed five-night Booking.com reservation, but the receptionist told us to cancel it without explaining why. When we refused and asked for our booked room, they showed us a different one. We turned it down, and they said they didn't want us to stay and asked us to leave. We were left feeling uncomfortable and unable to trust the hotel, then had to wander around with our luggage to find somewhere else at the last minute. The treatment was unprofessional, misleading, and unacceptable. We trusted the booking confirmation and ended up stranded in a city we didn't know. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Our room had a lovely view, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Salam Baku Hotel is right on Nizami Street, in the heart of the city, which made it easy to explore Baku. Breakfast was nice too. Highly recommend.

The day before I arrived, they'd messaged me on WhatsApp, not through Booking, to ask my check-in time. I replied and everything seemed fine. I'd also seen reviews saying the hotel asks guests to cancel on arrival, so I contacted Booking beforehand and was reassured there'd be no problem. This was unprofessional, misleading, and unacceptable. Avoid booking this property, it could save you a very stressful and unpleasant experience.

The owners and other people at the hotel are very friendly and cooperative. It's connected to the shopping mall and is the best hotel on Nazami street.
