We booked two nights, and the stay was awful. At check-in, the female staff member was extremely rude. The next day the air conditioner quit working. I asked over and over for someone to fix it, and they kept saying they would, but nothing happened. When I came back around midnight with my family and our two little kids, aged 4 years and 8 months, it was still broken. The owner offered a 30% refund and told me to find somewhere else, knowing full well it was the middle of the night. I refused, so they brought in a table fan and left us to get through the night. At checkout the next morning, nobody even asked how we'd managed. There's no hospitality, responsibility or care for guests here. Making a family with an infant go through this is unacceptable. This place is unfit for guests and should be delisted.

The location is good, and room 12 on the fourth floor has nice views, but I won't stay here again. Water went out three separate times over our four days. From the nearest parking spot, you have to carry your luggage 200 m and then climb three flights of stairs. Management was volatile and did little about the problems. She also overbooked, sending my friend to another hotel and causing a lot of trouble. Noise carries up the stairs.

Old city Baku's best hotel, and the best staff. Mr Farzali is a wonderful person, one of the best I've met in Baku ❤️👍 Highly recommend 👍🏾👍🏾

It's an okay, safe place to stay overall. The hotel is inside old Baku city, so cars can't reach it and the government doesn't allow parking there. The bathroom shower wasn't working, though I didn't have time to ask them to repair it. They should have checked before assigning the room. Breakfast is supposed to run until 10:00 am, but when I went down at 09:40 am, there was none left.

The reception guy was really kind, much appreciated. It's a budget hotel and fine for the price, so don't expect too much. Being near Nizami Street is a definite plus. If you rent a car, though, you can't drive into the area around the hotel.
