Hotel Crystal

The garden shared with the surrounding hotels has a beautiful fountain, and the location was good. Our room was relatively clean apart from the spider webs, and the beds were comfortable. Staff were generally friendly, the rooms were soundproof, and WiFi was okay. There’s a shared gym and pool, though I didn’t use them. For a hotel listed as four stars, it felt closer to three. The place is outdated, and spider webs were everywhere. The AC didn’t work the first night; after it was fixed, it still wasn’t effective in my room. The water heater also didn’t work well. There was no kettle, complimentary water, or tea in the room. The TV and hair dryer didn’t work, and there were no tissues. There was just one iron for the whole hotel, so I never got to use it. The safe didn’t work either. They brought another one the next day, but that didn’t work, too. Breakfast was shameful: very little variety, with leftover food reheated and served the next morning. The vinegar containers had visible fungi and were sticky and dirty. Smoking was prohibited in the lobby, but staff sometimes smoked there anyway.

The location is lovely, maybe the best in all of Ilidža. But the restaurant service was far too slow. We waited and waited, then eventually had to leave without being served.

The location is great, and everyone working there was kind and helpful. Mrs. Ayda gave us wonderful support during our stay, and Mrs. Salma from housekeeping was also very nice and cooperative. I’d like to thank them both.

Everything had been great until that waiter started throwing a tantrum. He was yelling aggressively as he rearranged the chairs, and they were nearly flying around. It spoiled my evening 🤣
