Hotel Zenit

The location is the main reason to choose this hotel. It's right in the heart of Neum, with the beach in front, and I liked walking along the main promenade on level 2. It has a bit of an old-town feel. The price is cheap, I guess because the hotel is very old and doesn't seem to get much upkeep. My room had no Wi-Fi, hairdryer, fridge, or air conditioning, though it stayed cool enough out of the sun. Bugs were flying around, and the bathroom was a disaster: it had been cleaned, but was in terrible shape. Breakfast was okay, nothing special. If comfort and good service matter to you, heheh, avoid it. For location, it's perfect.

We had beautiful views and a great spot right on the beach, and the staff were friendly. I stayed with my family and we had two clean rooms. The food was very good, with breakfast and dinner included. There was no AC in our rooms, so it got hot, but the fans helped. The building has beautiful architecture, though it doesn't look like anyone is maintaining it, especially outside. It's a 3-star hotel, not fancy, but the location, clean rooms, good food, and affordable price worked well for us.

The sea here was a lot dirtier than the water I swam in in Croatia, even though this hotel isn't far away. I was here Wednesday to Thursday on a bus trip around Croatia, and I guess the travel agency was trying to save money. The hotel feels stuck 40 years in the past, from the furniture to the surroundings. The bathroom was gross, and loud music played until 1 a.m., so I didn't get a good night's sleep.

The dinners were limited and poor quality, and the bathroom was unbelievably disappointing. The hotel is outdated and the rooms are very low standard. I wouldn't come back even if you paid me.
