Residence Inn By Marriott Sarajevo

We spent five great nights at Courtyard by Marriot. The rooms were lovely, with a beautiful river view, and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel is close to the tram line and SCC shopping centre, and the old town is a 15 minute walk away. Standards and facilities were good, and the staff were professional, always available, and happy to help. The restaurant near the lobby serves very nice food. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The staff were accommodating with requests like extra pillows, adjusting the AC temperature, and bringing water or coffee. They were also understanding when my stay dates changed several times. The hotel is spacious and comfortable for a good price, and the location is great. There are two restaurant/bars, one in the lobby and one on the rooftop, with tasty food and drinks at reasonable prices. Breakfast was very good too. I’ll be back.

We wouldn’t stay here again. After we reported a steady noise, as if construction work was happening, the front desk said there was no construction and suggested it might be from a function on the seventh floor. The noise was still going after dinner. My spouse called the front desk, and they said they’d check, but nobody came. We tried to sleep and didn’t sleep well. When I mentioned it again at checkout in the morning, they didn’t seem too concerned and said they’d have someone look into it. We were rushing to the airport, otherwise I would have asked for the manager. We’re Marriott members, though we try to be unbiased. Check-in was smooth, parking was good but tight, the rooms were standard Marriott and very clean, and the WiFi was fine.

The location was perfect, the rooms were great, and the staff were exceptional. I was really impressed and thoroughly enjoyed my time at the hotel and in this city. Great job!
