Yellow Bird Hotel

Yellow Bird's team made us feel so welcome when we arrived, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. We had a pool day with friends during our few days there, and all the staff were exemplary. The food was delicious and drinks were plentiful. We stayed there at both the start and end of our trip. Our lower-floor room was lovely, with everything I needed to cook some meals. The nearby bars and restaurants are only a couple of minutes away, and there's also a restaurant on site serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and drinks all day. The bed was super comfy, and housekeeping and maintenance took good care of us. We're planning to return to Yellow Bird at the end of 2025 for round two. For my wife's birthday, the Yellow Bird Hotel sent a nice bottle of wine to our room, and we had a wonderful birthday week. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the view from our spacious room was amazing. The air conditioning worked really well, though we wished the bed were more comfortable and felt it could use replacing. We bought the breakfast package, which was well worth it, and the food was really good. We also had dinner at the hotel one night, and it was delicious. There are lots of restaurants close by, along with convenience stores and a few beaches within walking distance.

The kitchenette and roomy layout were handy, and the bathroom seemed to have been renovated recently. The rooms were clean, but they felt quite dated. The pillows were disappointing too, either lumpy or hard. It's fine for a couple of nights when you just need somewhere to sleep, though it's not at all extravagant. The service staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant servers, on the other hand, stayed on their phones the whole time we were there, which looked very unprofessional. I'd go for the pancakes and skip the poached eggs, since the chef seemed to use far too much vinegar.

The room view alone is enough to make me want to return. Staff were amazing, the food was nice, and the rooms were well kept and a decent size. Nearby businesses can get loud in the evenings, but that's to be expected when you're right on the strip. Good times.
